SAFS Annual General Meeting will be held at the
University of Western Ontario on May 7, 2011.
We are happy to announce that John Carpay will be our keynote speaker.
Calgary lawyer John Carpay served the Canadian Taxpayers Federation as
Alberta Director (2001-2005). He then served the Canadian Constitution
Foundation as its first Executive Director (2005-2010), defending individual
freedom in the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench (Boissoin v. Lund),
Saskatchewan Court of Appeal (Whatcott v. Saskatchewan Human Rights Tribunal)
and Supreme Court of Canada (R. v. Kapp). Currently, John is the founder
and president of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms.
He will address the issue of speech in Canadian campuses.
